Leadership And The Camera

My good friend and business colleague, Vern Oakley, is CEO and Creative Director of Tribe Pictures.  Sensitive to the bombardment of digital communication in our  society, Vern has developed The Leadership in Focus Video Series.

It is Vern’s contention, one shared by many others, that to cut through the noise, get your ideas heard and garner employee/customer adoption and engagement, leaders must make a human connection with their audiences.

Politicians have known for years that video works to make these connections.  For leaders to be successful, being on camera is no longer an option … it’s a requirement for our digital age.  For those who embrace the strategic use of video, they give themselves a medium that allows them to reach a global audience and, more importantly, present themselves in an authentic manner. Vern captures this well in his two minute ‘Removing The Mask’ installment.  It’s worth a look.
