Biting Off More Than We Can Chew

Do you have a hard time saying  “no” to people?   Although you accomplish things, do you keep adding to your  list of things to do?

If you answered “yes” to the above, welcome to the club.   This has been a challenge for me for years.

I have been able to curb this “inane” activity and not let others down by stating realistic time frames in which I could achieve a commitment.   I would present these time frames to those making requests of me.   If it didn’t fit their time frame, they would say “thanks anyway” and move on.

I soon realized that reducing my commitment level was better than a vacation.   Vacations only last a week or two.   Reducing commitments and learning to say “no” is helpful 365 days a year.
