Creating Your Own Legacy

I’m just back from my annual trip to Toronto to see the Blue Jays.   Despite living on the west coast of Canada since 1984, I have never missed a Blue Jay home opener, having attended everyone since their inception in 1977.   I will always remember their inaugural game in 1977 and the two inches of “partly cloud” on my shoulder.

The opener has now become a precious event for me  and is attended by many of my friends, former business associates, softball teammates and fraternity brothers en masse.   This year we had a record attendance of 34.   The camaraderie was outstanding and  continues to be  enhanced by our pre-game “attitude adjustment” session and annual trivia contest.

It is always special when you can make something extraordinary from something ordinary.   If the Jays continue to play like they did on opening day, they may have a chance this year.
