Management/Leadership Style

In order for leaders and managers to effectively present content and establish an environment for  collaboration amongst staff and co-workers they must first engage them – i.e. make a connection.    Making a connection has become an art form for many of us.

In that vain, I continue to use a three pronged approach of entertaining, informing and not  offending with those that I interface with.   This evolved for me  during my President/CEO days  in the entertainment industry where I was forced to juggle individual creativity with planning and organization.

This approach is well supported by Peter McKain in his 2002 book, “All Business is Show Business”.
