Tough Times – It’s All Relative

I recently reviewed a newsletter entitled “IMPACT”.   It is written by Lee Silber, a man out of San Diego, who is committed  to providing ideas and insights to improve your life (www.creativelee.com).

On the topic of tough times, the following piece from his newsletter really  put things in perspective.    I encourage you to ponder the following:

“If you think you have it tough, read history books. ”

—Bill Maher

Times are tough. However, we have seen tougher times before and weathered the storm. We like to reminisce about the “good old days” , but I am old enough to recall previous recessions, and those were some dark days. What kept me going was the belief that things would get better—and they did. I’m confident we will rebound again and better times lay ahead. In the meantime I am taking Ben Franklin’s advice, “If you’re going through hell, keep going. ” – Lee Silber, June 2009
