Mental Toughness

“The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.”

—Stephen Covey
Stephen Covey’s quote  sums up what focus is all about. It also can be  interpreted a number of different ways. It could relate to focusing on what matters most in your personal life. It could also mean to direct your time, talent, and energy on the area of your career that has the best shot at success. Perhaps it involves faith, or family, or fun, or . . .

As Lee Silber contends, “If we have control over anything in our lives it is choice. We have the the power to say no. We control the clock and calendar with our decisions. We put ourselves in financial peril or achieve financial freedom with the way we choose to spend money. As much as we loathe those who have more than us, it could be they were more focused, disciplined, and made better decisions than we did. It all starts with knowing what you want (and don’t want) and then deciding to do the thing(s) that will take you there—and doing them first.”
