Impact Realized at 2010 Olympics

As this week winds down and the Olympics go into full swing, it is quite evident that the light bulb has come on for many British Columbians and fellow Canadians  as to  just how big the Olympics really are.

Thanks to technology we are able to bring the Olympics, its pagentry and its experiences right into living rooms around the world.

I feel very fortunate to be living in Vancouver and being able to take in some of the events.

Early this week, I had the pleasure of attending an event for Family and Friends of  VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee) as my daughter is a proud employee and has been with VANOC since 2006.

Below is a picture of me with her and her fiance, Lorne along with a picture of me with my partner, Cindy, holding one of the famous torches from the Torch Relay that took 106 days to complete, touching Canadians from coast to coast.
