Other Aspects of Listening
Posted by Tom Locke on September 21st, 2010 filed in Business, LifeBack in April this year I made the comment about listening being one of the most common traits of engaging people and that through listening and observation, we can develop an empathy for others and their ideas.
In addition to this, the slightest improvement in listening can lead to better relationships, enhanced performance and even stress reduction.
With this in mind, try to curb automatic responses of “I know” to someone as what you are really saying is “I’m not listening to you”. And if you are not listening, your chances of making a connection and ongoing interaction are greatly reduced.
