Technology Can Enhance Referrals

A couple of days ago I was video “Skyping” with an old friend who lives in Manchester, England.   During our discussion he mentioned a colleague of his who had a similar interest in music to mine.   My friend suggested that I connect with his colleague  and that he would call him to let him know I was doing so.

Within 48 hours, thanks to  today’s technology we connected and proceeded to talk online for almost an hour, subsequently sharing, via email, our backgrounds and copies of favourite songs.   I am looking forward to assisting him with his “want list” of records.  

You would think we were long last friends.   Thanks to the power of a referral in tandem with technology we have become such.
