Giving and Receiving

Many of us can remember back to when our mothers would say, “It is better to give then receive”.

As a young boy, I used to hear this adage from my mother around Christmas time.   As I grew older, I soon realized that giving and receiving were two sides of the same coin.   To date, my experience has been that everything that I have given away has returned with interest.

I find this  “phenomena” to be somewhat  integral to a comment Albert Einstein made about one’s approach  to  life.   He said,  “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value”.
