Becoming An Expert

By taking a “sharing of information” mindset, one can position oneself and their company as an expert.

Various astute businessmen and companies do this by joining and taking an active role in industry associations and sitting in on panel discussions on behalf of their industry.

This approach is one of contribution not one of “selling your wares”.   It is via this approach that connections are made, content of value is shared and collaboration takes place for the benefit of all.

This approach leads to the building of trust and can result in commitment down the line.   It also aids in building a contact base that can be viewed as a “circle of influence”.
