Great Lines

Throughout my business career, my interaction with fellow colleagues has led to situations where a comment was made that suppported the axiom of “there’s a lot of truth in jest”.   For example, I remember asking an associate of mine, who was experiencing some rough times, how things were going.   He replied, “I’m currently looking for revenue to shelter my expennses”.

On flip side, one of my most successful business colleagues, came up with a classic line that he recently used as a rebuttal to his doctor’s concerns that he was putting on weight and needed to start watching what he was eating and drinking.   He said to doctor, “Doc, I didn’t work my way up to the top of the food chain to go on a diet!”
