Showing Up

Over the years actor/writer/producer/director/musician Woody Allen has been credited with many memorable quotes.   The one that sticks with me was his reply when asked what he attributed his success to.   He simply said, “I showed up!”

Like most successful people, Woody Allen not only showed up; he always had something to say and/or contribute.   This created the opportunity to engage others and follow up with those he connected with.

When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.   After all, why show up at an event that is of value to you without an action plan to exercise during and after the event.
