Recharging The Batteries

As we grow older we come to realize that mortality is a reality.   In tandem with this comes the appreciation of what really counts – our relationships with friends and family.

The holiday season somewhat “forces” this upon us with most of us taking time out to reflect, enjoy and give thanks.   This nice breaks allows us to recharge our batteries and prepare for the New Year.

However, what I admire about a number of my associates is their ability to balance their lives throughout the year – not just at Christmas time.   One close colleague of mine put it best when he said, “I never met anyone, who on their death bed said,  ‘I should have spent more time at the office”.”
