Thoughts On Leadership

There are a number of leadership styles with some more disciplined than others – for example, the military.

The cornerstone for any style is the garnering of respect.   If you can obtain that and be willing to share some of the duties and responsibilities with those you lead you will create an atmosphere of engagement which further leads to productivity.

For me demanding and commanding is not my style.   I believe you can be effective if you are recognized as being firm and fair.   I also believe that you can gather more bees with a bit of honey than you can with a barrel of vinegar.
