True Friendship

The other day I received an email from a close friend thanking me for my ongoing involvement in a charitable endeavor he has been spearheading for 20 years.

It is these types of emails that reinforce what life is all about – interacting in a sharing and caring fashion.   Thanks to technology (e.g. email, texting, Skype, websites, etc.) we can keep in contact.

But nothing beats face-to-face.   My good friend lives in Toronto.   We see each other 2  to 3 times a year.   When we do connect, it is like “old home week” within five minutes.

Why is that?   Simple … our  friendship is  based on  mutual admiration and  respect.

It is also about quality of time not quantity of time.
