As the Cardinals go, so go the Lions?

I’m heading off to Toronto this weekend for the Grey Cup and cheering on the Argos due to the Calgary Stampeders’ victory over the BC Lions  in the Western Final.   Double blue has a whole new meaning to me.

But I should have realized this was going to happen because the St. Louis Cardinals lost their bid to defend their World Series title this year by losing the last 3 games in their championship series to the San Francisco Giants.   Also in 2004, St. Louis was  hammered by the Boston Red Sox in the World Series while the Lions were upset by the Toronto Argonauts in the Grey Cup.

If you are wondering why I have made this connection, I refer to my post of last year about the correlation of the winning ways of the Cardinals and Lions – https://hubcs.wpengine.com/2011/11/28/as-predicted/

The Lions had a great year but will not repeat – it just wasn’t in the Cards.
