Setting Goals in 2013

Well the New Year’s resolutions are in with many of us hopefully setting goals that are attainable and measureable.

However, how many of your goals involve others?   Often it is these goals that are of most value – especially when they involve loved ones.

A colleague of mine recently sent me a piece on goal setting.   In it, it outlined 3 things that you could do with those who are close to you.   They were:

  1. Plan a “date night” every week with your significant other.
  2. Eat dinner together as a family or set aside an evening for game night.
  3. Volunteer together.   Maybe participate in a beach or park clean up or help out at a local soup kitchen.

It’s amazing how achieveable goals become when we do things together or in a team environment.

May your “goal journey” result in a happy, healthy and prosperous 2013.
