According to new research from Nielsen, display Internet advertising grew 26.3 percent in Q1, driven by strong showings in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions. With 10 percent growth in Europe, Internet display was just one of two media to post a year-over-year increase in the region.

TV advertising still dominates with 59 percent of share of spend. Digital display holds just 4.4 percent share of spend globally. Still, digital display’s 25 percent growth is noteworthy when compared to other media, which showed either modest gains or losses.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar growth in Q2.
