From The Outhouse To The Penthouse

A tip of the hat goes out to the Boston Red Sox organization and their World Series victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Last year, the Red Sox finished last in their division and were subject to numerous injuries and internal turmoil.  The management went out and did two key things – got a new manager ( the composed and respected John Farrell) and some established role players (Mike Napoli, David Ross, Shane Victorino, Jonny Gomes & Jake Peavy).  These acquisitions blended in perfectly with a solid nucleus and a few rookies.

The results – a team of players who believed in each other.  A team that became branded as “Boston Strong” and was successful in their “Year of Redemption”.  The team bought into John Farrell’s approach and were guided from time to time from team leader, David Ortiz, who did it with his bat and personable interaction.
