The Highlight of 2014

In late September/early October I attended the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ) conference in Reykjavik, Iceland.  I have been a member of this organization since 1986.

At the banquet on the final evening, I was pleasantly surprised to be the recipient of the prestigious Walter Klein Humanitarian Award for my presentation on “Attitude & Opportunity ” which featured an inspiring video from a first time filmmaker and quadriplegic, Luke Anderson, who I have been associated with the past 12 years.

However, the highlight for me came later on in December when I visited Luke and his parents in Toronto.  I wish I  had a camera with me on the evening I had dinner with them to capture the look on Luke’s face when I presented him with his very own  Walter Klein Award as he was named a co-recipient by the IQ organization.

I look forward to working with him in the future on accessibility for all.  His commitment and attitude will result in the realization on opportunities for positive change.
