Another Off The Bucket List

Here I am holding a $100 winning ticket on racehorse American Pharaoh and scratching another one off my bucket list ” betting on a Triple Crown Winner.

I have yet to have a winning ticket on all three Triple Crown races in one year but I have been close twice. One year it will happen.

The hat I am wearing in the photo is the one we created in 2010 in honour of my Dad who passed away in 2009. The lettering is “BLT ” which stands for the Bert Locke Trophy – the winning prize in our family bocce tournament that is held each summer. My Dad was also one of the best handicappers in Toronto and spent many a Saturday afternoon at Woodbine Racetrack.

BTW:  If you knew my Dad you also know that he loved to eat and BLT also stands for “Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato” 
