Making A Great Speech

Reflecting on the recent political campaigns in the U.S. I think many of us are of the opinion that we have heard enough speeches in the past year and half to last a lifetime.

Some of those speeches were effective and many weren’t.

Regardless what you are speaking on there are a few things should focus on in your preparation and delivery of a speech.

First and foremost, your goal should be to speak from the heart and to stay on point.  To accomplish this, I suggest that you only memorize the first sentence or two of your speech and then work from an outline.

As to practicing this type of approach, speaking into a mirror works wonders.
